We have so many reasons to feel blessed. Before the semester even began we already made some fantastic new friends. God has not only given us amazing new faces, but has blessed us with enthusiastic leadership, a great new sabbath school (10am Saturday morning--don't miss it!), and an incredible hope and excitement for this new year.

If you are looking for a great group of friends, stop by. We don't care if you are an Adventist or not. We love the Lord here. Just hang with us! Here's what you need to know:

  • A Google Map to the Church
  • Friday night, 7:00pm at the church is supper and fellowship. This is the main event, folks!
  • Saturday morning, 10am, sabbath school, where we study the Bible.

You know you want to come. And it totally won't be awkward if you don't know anybody. Trust me. Just show up and you'll see.

The Birth of a New Semester

Sunday, January 25, 2009

Merry spring, everyone! It is great to have a fresh start in '09, isn't it?

But some things never change. Like our Friday night Fun, Food, and Fellowship! You totally need to come and hang out with us. We want you there. No joke. We'll even pick you up and drop you off. And feed you.

Don't forget, though, that on January 30th there will be no Friday night meeting! The reason? We will be taking a weekend trip to Tyler, Texas, for their very own ACF Weekend. Here's a poster.

Hey, did you see us at the MSC Open House? That's so cool that you saw us there. DON'T THROW THAT PIECE OF ACF PAPER AWAY! Just because we won't meet this week doesn't mean you shouldn't hang with us NEXT week, February 6th, at 7pm at the church. I want to see every one of you there. (Including any former students I may have bumped into. *Hint hint*.)

The very next weekend after the open house is our super-special ACF weekend smasher thunder great event! It begins at 8pm on Friday in the MSC and ends with a night of coolness fun on Saturday night. We will definitely have more details coming up. Peel your very eyes!

We are working out the details of our weekly on-campus book study, too. Also, the regular Friday night meetings happen every week, so definitely get on that boat.

On the front is the ACF logo on the left breast, where the "C" and "Christian" are in Aggie-blood maroon. On the back is a picture of Jesus framed by the words "All you need is love. 1st John 4:16" and "Adventist Christian Fellowship". The verse referenced is not written out on the shirt, but says, "And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him."

The Grace of God in 2007

Saturday, December 29, 2007

God has again let His face shine upon us in this last year. He has brought us unscathed through another trying semester, has blessed our community with a new life, Ian Edward Gregory Haye, and has brought our friend Chelsea out of the clutches of death and safely home.

We have a few things to look forward to this coming semester. Our Thursday night Bible study will change its format. A brand new pastor, Pastor Gio Marin, will be coming to Bryan/College Station. His first sermon is on January 12! Don't miss it! We also have several ideas for fun events this semester. Come to our first official ACF meeting on January 18th to find out all about them.
