The Grace of God in 2007

Saturday, December 29, 2007

God has again let His face shine upon us in this last year. He has brought us unscathed through another trying semester, has blessed our community with a new life, Ian Edward Gregory Haye, and has brought our friend Chelsea out of the clutches of death and safely home.

We have a few things to look forward to this coming semester. Our Thursday night Bible study will change its format. A brand new pastor, Pastor Gio Marin, will be coming to Bryan/College Station. His first sermon is on January 12! Don't miss it! We also have several ideas for fun events this semester. Come to our first official ACF meeting on January 18th to find out all about them.

College Station Young Adult Event

Monday, October 8, 2007

Friday Evening, October 12th: The event kicks off with Café Renewal at 8pm at the Bryan/College Station Seventh-day Adventist Church. This evening will be one of friends, fellowship, music by Elia King as well as Standing Amazed, and the renewal of God's grace and love. Pastor Lane Campbell will also give us a message. Light refreshments served.

Sabbath Morning, October 13th: Sabbath School begins at 9:15am, with the Worship Service following at 11am. Pastor Bill Cork will speak. Fellowship dinner will be provided by the Bryan/College Station Seventh-day Adventist Church. We will then head to a local park for some fun and fellowship in the great outdoors. In the evening, vespers begins at 6:30pm back at the church. Pastor Cork will give a message. Afterward, we will all go bowling! (At least that's the tentative plan.)

We are expecting people from all over, including people from UT Arlington and the Houston area. Why don't you come, too? For housing information, contact Robert Jacobson: (432) 432-3994.

This week is a doosey!

So much is happening! Tomorrow (Sunday, September 2) we will have a booth on the second floor of the MSC from 1pm to 6pm, so stop on by. Also, on Wednesday (Sept. 5) at 7:30pm at the church we will have an icecream game night. On Thursday (Sept. 6) at 7:30pm we will begin a Bible study on campus at a location to be announced. Finally, this coming Friday we will have our usuall food and fun.

Oh, and don't forget our big event in October on the 12th and 13th when somewhere near 40 young adults will descend upon our church for a special vespers and church service!
